Check the Power Connection

Ensure the dryer is securely plugged in and the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. Many dryer issues stem from a lack of power.

1

Clean the Lint Filter

Remove and clean the lint filter after every load. A clogged lint filter can reduce airflow, causing longer drying times or overheating.

Inspect the Vent Hose

Check the vent hose for kinks, blockages, or lint buildup. Clear any obstructions to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.

Test the Drum Movement

Open the dryer door and try rotating the drum by hand. If it’s stiff or difficult to turn, there may be an issue with the drum belt or rollers.
